Gmail: Enable Dark Mode (Android & PC Browser) - Here's how

Gmail can also be viewed in dark mode, which displays the design in dark colors. 

Currently, dark mode only works for the browser version of Gmail. So far we have not been able to find a suitable setting in the Gmail app.

1. Gmail: Enable Dark Mode for Android Smartphone
2. First activate the dark design in Android 10.
3. For the Pixel 3 * you simply pull down the status bar and tap on " Dark Design".
4. This automatically activates the dark mode of the smartphone and Gmail takes over this view.

Enable Dark Mode in Gmail (Browser)

1. Open Gmail in the browser.
2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner .
3. Choose designs .
4. Click in the window on the black color surface and confirmed with the button Save .

Unfortunately, the theme does not extend across all elements of the graphical user interface. For example, if you want to write an e-mail, it will still be displayed in a white window.
